2- Year Old ( 2x2's and 2x3's

 

​The 2’s class meets two or three days per week without a parent present. This class is designed for children who are 2½ years old through younger 3-year-olds. Enrollment is limited to 16 children with two teachers to ensure individualized attention. Children must be 2½ years old by the start of the school year.

The daily schedule includes free play, large muscle activities, circle time with movement, songs, books, and games, as well as art, science and math exploration, language activities, and snack time. Play is an essential part of the program and supports children’s social and emotional growth as they learn to become part of a caring community. Children enrolled in the 2’s class should be working toward toilet training.

3-Year Old 

Classes for 3-year-olds are offered three mornings per week with a ratio of two teachers to a maximum of 18 children. Children must be 3 years old by August 31 of the entering school year. This program is designed to support growing independence while nurturing each child’s social, emotional, and developmental needs. Children should be toliet trained.

The daily schedule includes free play, circle time with movement, songs, books, and games, snack time, sharing, and large muscle activities. Through purposeful play experiences, children develop self-confidence, cooperation, and problem-solving skills as they learn to be part of a caring classroom community.

4 Year Old

 

Classes for 4-year-olds are offered four or five mornings per week, with a ratio of two teachers to a maximum of 18 children. Children should be 4 years old by August 31 of the entering school year. This program is designed to intentionally prepare children for the academic, social, and emotional expectations of kindergarten. Children must be toilet trained. 

The daily schedule includes free play, circle time with movement, songs, books, games, snack time, sharing, and large muscle activities. Through these routines, children develop the ability to follow directions, participate in group activities, take turns, and build self-confidence and independence skills essential for success in a Kindergarten classroom.

Children enrolled in both 4’s programs will bring a packed lunch each day, providing additional opportunities to practice independence, responsibility, and self-help skills that support a successful transition to kindergarten. The TUMPS school is a peanut and nut free preschool.

5 Year Old

 

This program is open to children who will be five years old by December 31 st of the entering the school year. Rising 5’s is designed to challenge and inspire children as they strengthen essential pre-Kindergarten skills while continuing to grow socially and emotionally.

 

Rising 5’s is an exciting extension of our 4-year-old program for children to flourish and gain confidence before kindergarten. Meeting five mornings per week, Rising 5’s provides a dynamic, enriching environment with two teachers and up to 18 children.

 

With an intentional focus on collaborative and experiential learning, the Rising 5’s class spends the year working together on several unique group projects that foster creativity, imagination, ingenuity, kindness, and cooperation. Through a balance of structured learning and purposeful play, children learn to think critically, problem-solve, work as part of a group, and take pride in their accomplishments.

Children enrolled in Rising 5’s will bring a packed lunch each day, providing additional opportunities to practice independence, responsibility, and self-help skills that support a successful transition to kindergarten. The TUMPS School is a peanut and nut free preschool.
