Tots
The Tots class meets 2 days or 3 days a week without a parent. It is for 2 1/2 year olds and younger 3 year olds. This class is limited to 14 children with 2 teachers. The child must be 2 1/2 years old by the entering school year. The daily schedule consists of free play, large muscle play, circle time including movement, songs, books and games, art, science/math exploration, language and a snack. Play fosters a child's social and emotional growth and development as they learn to become a part of a caring community. We include an art, music and library experience once a month. Children should be working on toilet training.
3-Year Old
Classes for 3 year olds are offered 3 mornings a week with a class ratio of 2 teachers to up to 18 children. Children must be 3 by August 31th of the entering year. The daily schedule consists of free play, circle time including songs, books, games, snack time, sharing and large muscle play. Science, math, writing, and language skills are incorporated daily. We include an art, music and library experience every month.
4 Year Old
Classes for 4 year olds are offered 4 or 5 mornings a week. Class ratio is 2 teachers to up to 18 children. Children must be 4 by August 31st of the entering year. The daily schedule consists of free play, circle time including songs, books and games, snack time, sharing and large muscle play. There is an emphasis on kindergarten readiness with pre-reading skills, match concepts, science, and social studies awareness. Science, math, writing and language skills are incorporated daily. We include an art, music and library experience every month.
Starflight
Starflight is an extension of the 4 year old program for those who would like an extra year of building additional skills. It meets 5 mornings a week. Class ratio is 2 teachers to up to 18 children. This program is open to children who have completed the 4's program or are 5 by August 31st of the entering year. The daily Starflight schedule focuses on pre-kindergarten academics including science, math, writing and language skills while expanding socialization and independence skills and kindness towards others. Your child will pack a lunch each day to further their pre-kindergarten experience. We include an art, music and library experience every month.
